Joanna Sowinska

Joanna Sowinska is a Chemical Biology major at Stevens Institute of Technology.  She tends to look silly in pictures because she feels more
comfortable behind the camera.  Joanna first encountered piano at the ripe age of 9 and continued to test the limits of her fingers (and
ears) until the age of 13.  She is now 20 and in February 2005 decided to take up piano with Phillip Dieckow.  She is beyond happy that this
opportunity is available to her.

Joanna enjoys vibrant colors amidst black and white, has eternally fallen for Chopin, and wishes only to enlighten the world if not make
it smile just a smidgen wider.  She often finds herself writing, reading, drawing, observing, learning something new, perfecting something old, playing piano, feeding her film addiction, or thinking about any number of these. She loves music, neuroscience, the art world, the rare breathe of fresh air that sometimes reaches her lungs, and she harbors a soft spot for the history channel.

At the moment, Joanna does not know what she wants out of life other than simply to live it.
